The driver of an SUV was hit and killed late Monday morning by a semitrailer, authorities reported. The snowy conditions made it difficult to see and caused a semi to hit the SUV. Margaret C. Salzwedel, 47, of Lakefield was thrown from her vehicle and died at the scene.
