First Day at ARCC

My first day at Anoka Ramsey makes for a rather boring journal entry. I honestly don't really remember too much about it. My first class of the day was English at 8:00 a.m. which was quite early for a morning class. I remember our instructor was surprised that so many people were taking such an early class. I also took a sociology class which I loved, and a math class that I did not enjoy so much. Math is definitely not my forte. Unfortunately embarrassing events or cliché things that happen on your first day of school were nonexistent. Makes for quite a boring journal entry wouldn’t you say?

    I don't like math either. That sounds awful to have a class at 8:00 it's like highschool! Who did you have for sociology? I took that class and enjoyed it very much as well.
    p.s- reality is, the first day of college isn't as exciting as the first day of kindergarten.. I know with me,i've been in school my whole life, i'm not really living in the moment, I'm trying to MAKE my living.:)

    I just had a 8 a.m. class last semester, and I swear I'm never doing that again! I forgot how hard it is to drag yourself out of bed to go to a class. That is definitely something I don't miss about high school. The nice thing though, is that usually a class that is offered that early in the morning, can also be taken later in the evening. However, that isn't always the case. I'm just glad I have the freedom to pick what classes I want to take, and at what time.

    yea my first day was pretty comparable! I also took an 8am class this semester but dropped it after the first day because it was too hard to get up and it was just an all around crap class!! But yea, it sounds like a pretty standard day at college!

    Yeah my first day was also pretty similar. Nothing too exciting usually happens on the first day.

    Morning classes are my favorite, but that's probably because I'm a morning person. I can't sit through those night classes... those are killers for me!
